1. How Our Service Interacts with Copyrighted Content
Before submitting a claim, please note the following technical characteristics of RDT Video Downloader:
- No Hosting / Storage: We do not host, store, copy, or distribute any videos, audio tracks, or images on our servers. All media downloads are parsed, processed, and transmitted directly to the requesting user's browser in real-time from Reddit's own content delivery networks (CDNs).
- Caching: We do not maintain a cache or database of downloaded media. Once a download transaction completes, the server-side process is closed, and we do not store the parsed file.
- Takedown Target: Because we do not host files, we cannot "delete" a video from the internet. To permanently remove a video, you must submit a DMCA takedown request to Reddit Inc. (the host hosting the files) or the specific hosting provider where the file originates.
However, if you wish to block our tool from processing specific Reddit URLs associated with your copyrighted work, we are happy to comply and block those links in our parser.
2. Requirements for a Valid DMCA Takedown Notice
To file a valid takedown notice with RDT Video Downloader, your written request must include the following information:
- A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright that is allegedly infringed.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (e.g., a link to the original work or a detailed description).
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and that you wish to block, including the specific Reddit URL(s).
- Information reasonably sufficient to contact you, such as your physical address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement of good faith: "I have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
- A statement of accuracy: "The information in this notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the owner, or authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed."

3. Counter-Notification Procedure
If you believe that a URL was blocked by our system in error or as a result of misidentification, you may submit a Counter-Notification. Under the DMCA, a valid Counter-Notification must be a written communication sent to our designated agent and include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material that has been blocked and the location at which the material appeared before it was blocked.
- A statement under penalty of perjury: "I swear, under penalty of perjury, that I have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled."
- Your name, physical address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which RDT Video Downloader may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original infringement notification.

4. Repeat Infringer Policy
Because we do not require user accounts or register personal information, we cannot track individual user accounts. However, we reserve the right to block specific IP addresses, subnets, or API request nodes that demonstrate a pattern of abuse or repeatedly attempt to scrape or parse content in violation of copyright or these terms.
